What our customers say about Tindlovu in The Park.
It feels like coming home when arriving at Afsaal Picnic spot. We visit the Kruger National Park once or twice a year and we always stop at Afsaal. Last year they we finishing the last bits of the upgrade and wow, it looks amazing. It is a fantastic picnic spot. Nice clean toilets too!
A week ago we stayed for four nights in restcamp Berg-en-Dal in the Kruger National Park. We had breakfast and diner almost every night in the Tindlovu restaurant and we would like to let you know that we loved it. The food was fantastic, the scenery was perfect and the service was spot on. Hereby we would like to thank three employees in specific: Patience, Lesego and Colly. They made our stay so comfortable and they are warm-hearted people who are able to create an relax and kind ambiance. We can't wait to come back in June 2020.
We really enjoyed our meal at Letaba Tindlovu Restaurant and were impressed with good service and delicious hamburgers and wraps. The view is breathtaking and after reading the previous reviews I believe they have upped their game and we could not find fault with anything - well done Tindlovu!
Afsaal is always fun. The little shop is good. The goodies to eat are great. The atmosphere is the best and whether you buy something there to eat, or bring your own meal with makes no difference to the fun of being there. This is a true mix of a camping atmosphere and a restaurant atmosphere combined into one. For the campers - you will feel very at home - for the Restaurant only eaters, you will also enjoy it and maybe something from the campers will rub off on you. Enjoy it!!
Tindlovu Mopani offers good food and drinks, but most of all a great view. Watch the elephants play in the dam while herds move by, many with small babies. Sit outside on the deck or inside if you prefer the aircon. Burgers are great.
We always eat here after going out on the sunset game drive which ends at 19h30 - 20h00. Restaurant closes at 21h00 and the last order at 20h30. There was no pressure to leave even after 21h00. Good food - our group had burgers and their own pies - really good. My venison pie was large and very good. Wine was good (and surprisingly cheap and came with an ice bucket). Service friendly and good.
Located in the Shingwedzi Camp, this restaurant offers indoor as well as outdoor dining overlooking the Shingwedzi River. Breakfast was tasty and staff extremely friendly.
While part of the Tindlovu chain, this restaurant is well aligned with the rustic, basic atmosphere of the rest camp as such. Punda Maria is nice and quiet and the restaurant and terrace reflect that same, unassuming spirit. We had the - ubiquitous - Tindlovu veggie burger for lunch and successfully convinced the waiter and chef to prepare us an omelette for dinner, rather than the equally ubiquitous halloumi. Kudos for the flexibility!
